The short version
I work at the strategy level—and stay close to reality.
I’m a GS-14 program manager and COR III at FDA, leading research-system modernization that serves more than 400 regulatory scientists. My work spans product direction, solutions architecture, acquisition, data integration, and responsible AI inside the agency boundary.
I also create and ship my own products. For TutorialRepo and PetShots, I set the product direction, shape the architecture and experience, and manage the path to production. That work keeps my technical judgment current and makes me better at leading teams and vendors.
Government systems rarely fail for one reason. The mission gets watered down in the requirement. The contract rewards the wrong thing. The architecture ignores the operating environment. I’ve spent more than 20 years finding and fixing those gaps.
I’m ready for a broader mandate in digital transformation, technical program leadership, or solutions architecture. If you need someone who can set direction across an organization and still challenge the technical details, that’s where I fit.
Mission context
Federal and defense experience from enlisted Air Force service through GS-14 leadership, including acquisition, security review, governance, and long-lived programs.

Product strategy and modernization leadership for systems serving 400+ regulatory scientists.

COR III experience overseeing contractor performance and translating program outcomes into executable delivery.
Technical judgment
Enough depth across federal research systems, information retrieval, native iOS, serverless AWS, infrastructure as code, and applied AI to test assumptions and make sound decisions.
Education
Master of Business Administration and Bachelor’s in Computer Science, earned while working full-time.
Technical education
Taught C++ to adult learners at Metro Technology Centers and built technical courses for YouTube, Udemy, and TutorialRepo. Clear explanation is part of the architecture role, not a side skill.

Ship the useful core
A smaller release in users’ hands creates better evidence than a perfect roadmap still waiting for consensus.
Build for whoever comes next
Federal programs outlast their leaders. Systems and decisions need to be understandable, operable, and defensible after the room changes.
Away from the whiteboard
Outside, preferably with some elevation.
I hike, camp, mountain bike, run, skateboard, and make an annual trip to West Virginia for Class V whitewater. Ollie, my Golden Retriever, handles trail operations whenever conditions permit.
